In 1989, I was born on a naval base in Fallon, Nevada. After leaving the Navy, my father moved our family back to his hometown in Holland, Michigan, where my three sisters were born. Around the age of eight, my family moved to Western North Carolina where we joined Biltmore Baptist Church and I became a follower of Jesus Christ. I stayed there until joining the Marines in 2006. I served for 8 years where I met my awesome wife, Kirstien, and gained my two daughters, Kymber and Eyda. After leaving the military in 2014, we relocated from California to Phenix City for a job on Fort Benning. Since then, we have stayed in the area and God has led me in the past couple years to pursue ministry, which led me to dissolve a self-owned construction company and begin working at Lakewood Baptist Church in the summer of 2018.
I thank God for the countless blessings in our lives. He has provided us with a purpose and a pursuit. My position at the church, though not ministerial in nature, has enabled me to become increasingly involved within the church and other local ministry opportunities. Our family has a passion for missions and we hurt for those who have never heard the Gospel and for Christians who have become disconnected from the Church. Our family eagerly anticipates the opportunities God has laid out for us. In the meantime, we strive to joyfully serve Him where we are now. We pray you are doing the same and can see God at work in your lives.
