IS YOUR FAITH FEEBLE OR FERVID?

The great English pastor Charles Spurgeon said, “Little faith will bring your soul to heaven, but great faith will bring heaven to your soul.”  Would you like to grow in faith?  Whether you realize it or not, when you received Christ as your Savior, God enrolled you in the School of Faith.  Life is the classroom; the Bible is the textbook; the prophets and the apostles are the teachers; and Abraham, whom Paul describes in Romans 4:11 as “the father of all those who believe,” is the Dean of the School of Faith.  Unfortunately, not everyone is a diligent student, and many have not yet graduated from kindergarten.

If you please God, it makes no difference whom you displease, and if you displease God, it makes no difference whom you please.   And according to Hebrews 11:6, there is no way to please God without faith.  Faith is the distinguishing characteristic of a Christian, and a Christian’s main duty is to believe God.  Jesus declared in John 6:29, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

If you want to reach a higher level of faith, I encourage you to come on Wednesday nights at 6:00.  I am teaching a series on THE FAITH FACTOR, in which we will examine clear biblical principles of faith, learn from biblical examples of faith, and put faith into action in our time of prayer. You can live a life of faith, and it’s not too late for you to begin.  After all, Abraham, the Dean of the School of Faith, was seventy-five years old when he began.
