The Senior Adult ministry at Lakewood is a very active group of people. Bible Fellowship Classes meet every Sunday morning during the 10:00 hour EST and are age graded if desired but you may choose any class to attend (they are listed at the link above). There are 2 Worship services to choose from described on Our Services page. The Senior Adult Choir known as the Amen Choir meets every Monday morning at 10:30 EST in the Sanctuary and Seniors from other churches are encourgaged to join. This group of active adults takes trips as often as they can find a place to go.
The large bus that Lakewood owns is on the road a great deal. When the Seniors plan an outing, they are gracious enough to allow anyone to travel with them on their morning or afternoon excursions. Several of their favorite events are meals out of town combined with shopping, plays at surrounding theaters and tours of near-by plants or organizations such as the Chick-Fil-A offices in Atlanta.
